Evan - Burtonesque Portrait

In this illustration, I reimagined a portrait of my friend Evan in a style inspired by Tim Burton’s gothic and exaggerated character designs. I was interested in exploring how a real person’s features could be translated into a more stylized, animated aesthetic.

The Cheshire Cat resting on his shoulder acts as a playful reference to Burton-inspired fantasy worlds and adds contrast to the darker mood of the portrait.

Through this piece, I experimented with stylization, atmosphere, and character expression while exploring how real-life portraits can transform into animated character designs.
