Yasmina - The Tarot Reader - Original Character Design

This illustration features an original character I created for the visual novel, The Arcana game who has been a huge visual inspiration for me through my art journey.

In my story, she is a tarot reader and magician’s apprentice who fled her homeland after it was invaded. Once a princess, she now lives in a new city where she studies magic and divination under the guidance of a powerful magician who is also her love interest.

I designed her as a mysterious and elegant character whose powers are connected to tarot cards and prophetic visions. The floating cards around her symbolize her ability to read fate and interpret the future.

Her costume design is inspired by ornate fabrics, jewelry, and mystical aesthetics, emphasizing her role as both a fortune teller and a powerful magical apprentice. Through this piece, I explored character storytelling, symbolic elements, and decorative costume design
